We were lucky that James, Kim and Jeremy were in Cancun and had the time to visit with us on the boat! After picking them up at the marina in Cancun, we motored over to Isla Mujeres and anchored in the bay. This was the first that they had been on MokaKat, and they really liked it! I think it is hard to imagine how it really is to be on a large catamaran, until you actually get on one. We enjoyed a nice evening and the next day we sailed around the island.

Jeremy, very comfortable on the boat!
Beautiful day to sail
South end of the island
Crazy looking glass bottom boat - It looked like the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile on water!
On the south west side of the island, we found some mooring balls and many people were diving and snorkeling. We tied up to one and enjoyed the water. Since it was in the park, we had to wear a life jacket while snorkeling! This really restricted our enjoyment, but with so many boats and the strong current, we conformed to the rules and enjoyed what we could.
We then returned back to the harbor and set the anchor. Now it was time to see the nightlife of the island with some cruising friends!

Sad farewells and a quick trip to the ferry docks!
James, Kim and Jeremy got to stay a couple of nights on MokaKat. We were happy that we were able to share our experience with them. They were heading back home to Colorado, where they run the snowmobiling rentals at Crested Butte, Colorado. If you are in the area and looking for an exciting time, their website is http://www.actionadventures.com/.
That night we had another beautiful sunset, one of many at Isla Mujeres!!!
Happy Sailing on MokaKat!!!
I think that was a great family trip. Isla Mujeres is an amazing place. Lots of fun... Scuba driving, fishing etc. And there is an amazing park Royal Garrafon Park. Ohh.. Thanks for such beautiful images.
